JPG to PDF
Photograph the pages of a form, a lease or a pile of receipts, then gather them into a single PDF in the order you choose. Set the paper size and margins for printing or filing, or let each page follow its picture.
Add photos or images: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and more.
or drop files here
Your PDF is handled inside this browser tab and is never uploaded.
How to use it
- Select the pictures with ‘Choose files’. You can also drag them onto the page or paste a screenshot from the clipboard.
- Fix the order: the row at the top is page 1. Drag rows into place or use the arrow buttons labeled ‘Move up’ and ‘Move down’. Use ‘Remove’ to take a picture out and ‘Add more’ to include further files.
- Under ‘Page size’, choose ‘US Letter’ if you print on Letter paper; ‘A4’ is selected to begin with. ‘Fit to image’ makes each page as large as its picture.
- Change ‘Orientation’ and ‘Margin’ only if you need to. The starting choices are ‘Auto’ and ‘Small’.
- Press ‘Create PDF’, then ‘Download’. The file is called images.pdf, so rename it before you send it.
What it does
Pages that fit the paper
With ‘A4’ or ‘US Letter’ chosen, every picture is shrunk or enlarged until it just fits inside the margins, then centered. Nothing is cropped and the proportions never change. Small pictures are enlarged, so a low-resolution image can look soft in print.
Paper sizes, exactly
‘A4’ is the 210 × 297 mm sheet used in most countries, and ‘US Letter’ is the 8.5 × 11 inch sheet of the US and Canada. With ‘Fit to image’, each page is built around its picture, counting 96 pixels as an inch, plus the margin.
Orientation without guessing
With ‘Auto’, each A4 or Letter page turns to match its picture. ‘Portrait’ and ‘Landscape’ lock every page to one direction. The setting turns the paper, never the picture, and ‘Fit to image’ ignores it.
Margins you can measure
‘None’ runs edge to edge. ‘Small’ leaves about 7 mm of white border and ‘Large’ about 18 mm, which gives a printed sheet a neat frame.
Photos kept as they are
A JPG that needs no turning is placed in the PDF unchanged, and a PNG goes in without loss. WebP, HEIC, GIF, BMP, AVIF and SVG pictures are drawn on white and stored as JPEG at 92% quality. So are CMYK JPGs and JPGs that carry a rotation flag, as many portrait phone photos do.
Phone and web formats
Accepted: JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, SVG, GIF (as one still frame), HEIC photos from iPhones, and AVIF if your browser can open it. TIFF is not accepted. The PDF is assembled in your browser, so no picture is uploaded.
Good to know
Most paper now travels as photographs: a signed lease, receipts for an expense claim, both sides of an ID card, the pages of a school form. An office portal usually wants one PDF, in order, under a size limit. Build the packet here, keep the pages in the sequence the reader expects, and add numbers afterward with Add Page Numbers.
Use A4 in countries that print on A4, and US Letter where Letter is the norm. ‘Fit to image’ is meant for screens: it sizes a page from the pixel count, so a 12-megapixel phone photo (4032 × 3024 pixels) makes a page about 42 inches wide, which is awkward to print. Whatever you choose, the result is one file named images.pdf, and a picture that cannot be read is flagged in the list while the rest still go in.
The finished PDF holds pictures only, so its text cannot be selected or searched. Run it through PDF OCR to add a text layer. If the file is too heavy to email or upload, Compress PDF shrinks it. To attach the pages to an existing document, use Merge PDF, and to sign the result, use Sign PDF.
Questions and answers
How do I combine photos into a single PDF?
Add every picture, check that the top row is the first page you want, and press ‘Create PDF’. You get one file, images.pdf, with a page per picture.
Should I use A4 or US Letter?
Use the paper your recipient prints on: A4 in most countries, US Letter for the US and Canada. The pictures are scaled to fit either one. ‘Fit to image’ is for files read on a screen only.
Can I add photos straight from an iPhone?
Yes. Photos in HEIC, the format iPhones use by default, are accepted. When you press ‘Create PDF’ with one in the list, the page first loads HEIC support, about 3 MB, and only once.
What does the Orientation setting do?
On A4 and US Letter pages it decides whether the paper stands upright or lies on its side. ‘Auto’ follows each picture, while ‘Portrait’ and ‘Landscape’ force one shape. It does not rotate the picture itself.
Why can't I search or copy text from the finished PDF?
Each page is a picture of the paper, not typed text. Run the PDF through PDF OCR to add a searchable text layer.
My PDF is too big to upload. What can I do?
Run it through Compress PDF. Most JPGs go in unchanged, so the PDF ends up about as large as all the pictures together: twelve 4 MB photos make roughly 48 MB. Starting from lower-resolution photos helps too.
